5 characters we're likely to see die in Snowpiercer Season 4

As a gamer who’s survived countless apocalyptic video games, I can confidently say that the final season of any show is always the deadliest. The first episode of Snowpiercer Season 4 didn’t disappoint with its emotional gut punch, sending off Zarah into the great beyond. But hey, one death ain’t enough for our beloved train-bound survivors!

The closing chapter of a TV series often includes significant character departures, and that’s exactly what happened in the premiere of Snowpiercer’s fourth season.

In the first episode, we bid farewell to Zarah, an event that, given the narrative’s trajectory, wasn’t unexpected. Layton is on a mission not only to retrieve his daughter but also to seek justice for his daughter’s mother’s demise.

Could there possibly be more character deaths in this series beyond the one we’ve witnessed? It seems unlikely that just one demise would be the total count, especially considering these additional five deaths that are likely to unfold. And rest assured, these won’t all involve the antagonists of the story!

Miss Audrey

As a devoted fan, I find myself reluctantly admitting that Miss Audrey’s character may encounter her end in ‘Snowpiercer’ Season 4. The ominous signs are evident, especially considering her exposure to the black gas used by Milius’s soldiers. It appears this gas is sustaining them, but could it be lethal to others? With her health already compromised due to their experimental conditions, I fear we might witness a heart-wrenching goodbye for our beloved character.

I’m personally crossing my fingers that I’m mistaken about this, but there seems to be a significant problem with the “bury your gays” trope in television series. However, _Snowpiercer_ could steer clear of this issue by ensuring Miss Audrey’s survival.

Ben

I do think one of the engineers needs to die. While killing off Miles would be heartbreaking, it doesn’t have a huge impact on the operating of Snowpiercer and Big Alice. The death of someone more experienced will cause many more issues.

From the beginning of the series, Ben has been a significant figure. Initially, he stood by Mel in all her endeavors, but later found himself aligning with Layton in their quest for a new dwelling place. However, despite his ultimate decision to side with Mel, his longing for New Eden didn’t fade. Now, he’s collaborating with the rebellion against Milius – a move that seems destined to result in his demise.

It’s apparent that Ben might choose self-sacrifice to rescue others or meet his demise while acting bravely. Regardless of the outcome, it’s certain to bring profound sorrow to all, particularly Till, who has formed a strong bond with him during their struggle against Milius.

Oz

For the past three consecutive seasons, Oz’s progression has seen a series of ups and downs. By nature, he leans toward self-centeredness, but this trait began to evolve at the end of Season 3. He came to understand that his actions were not right, and prioritizing others became necessary for him.

Yet, his arrival in New Eden resulted in his social exclusion. This isolation drove him into the wilderness, a choice that ultimately claimed Zarah’s life. The community holds him accountable, and he feels compelled to make amends. Roche offers him this opportunity, and it seems likely that his redemption will involve self-sacrifice to save another.

Josie

I’m concerned about Layton experiencing further pain, but it seems likely. It’s unlikely that Snowpiercer Season 4 would result in his death, unless the series finale is approaching. Instead, I anticipate he will lose another loved one. There are indications that Josie might be going through something.

In the last episode, I took a leap between trains, which left me wounded. Yet, there are moments when I don’t seem to feel everything as I used to. This could be a hint that the experiments conducted on me when I was presumed dead may have caused some complications. These complications might lead to my character being written off as a ‘flawed experiment’ of sorts.

Melanie

It’s highly probable that a significant death will occur at some stage within the narrative, and it seems that Melanie could be that pivotal loss, possibly happening towards the end of the series.

At the moment, we’re unsure about Melanie’s location. She wasn’t spotted on the train following Episode 2 since she left Ben behind. But her absence doesn’t necessarily mean she’s no longer alive. Milius appears to be concealing many things, and his mission for Snowpiercer may not align with what he claims it to be.

If Melanie’s still living, it’s possible she might come to understand that everything she consented to do has been causing harm to those dear to her. Meanwhile, we suspect Alex could be in hot water following the latest episode. Could it be that Melanie would risk her life to rescue Alex and protect the inhabitants of Snowpiercer and New Eden?
