Best movie new to Channel 4 this week
Taron Egerton delivers a fantastic performance as Elton John in Rocketman, a unique musical biopic that stands out from typical movies about musicians. It offers a fresh and creative take on his life and music.
I recently checked out the 2019 biopic, and honestly, it was really good – MovieFreak.com called it ‘fantastically entertaining,’ and I’d agree. It basically takes you through the star’s whole life, starting when he was a kid musical genius, all the way to becoming a huge international star. But it doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff either, showing his battles with figuring out his sexuality and dealing with substance abuse. It’s a pretty complete look at his life.
In addition to Taron Egerton, Rocketman stars Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as John Reid, Bryce Dallas Howard as the singer’s mother, and Stephen Graham as his record label executive.
This week on Channel 4, you can watch these new additions: Scream (2020), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Bridge of Spies, and Enduring Love.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color 100-page magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
