Wow, 2026 is almost here! It’s crazy to think about everything that happened in 2025. Every year, there are always those songs that just stick with you, right? And this past year, country music really delivered – so many amazing songs, whether they were by solo artists or duets. I’ve had a few on repeat!
This year has seen amazing success from country artists like Riley Green, Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs. But which songs truly stood out and captured our hearts? There have been so many great ones, it would take forever to list them all!
Here’s what I’m going to do: I’ll share my five favorite country songs of 2025. As a big country music fan, it’s hard to narrow it down, but this list is based on what I personally enjoy. There are bound to be some great songs not included, but these are simply my picks. I’ll also give a little background information about each song.
Five 2025 country songs that should not be missed
1. “Backup Plan”-Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs
I was so excited when Bailey Zimmerman dropped another hit in May 2025! This time, he teamed up with Luke Combs for a song called “Backup Plan.” It’s a really inspiring track – it’s all about going after what you want in life and not letting anyone discourage you from your goals.
2. “Choosin’ Texas”-Ella Langley
Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is climbing the charts! Released in October, this catchy song is really gaining popularity now. With Ella’s fantastic vocals and a lively beat, it’s impossible not to bob your head and sing along. The song tells the story of someone who left their partner for a new love in Texas.
3. “Worst Way”-Riley Green
I had to include Riley Green’s “Worst Way” on this list. The song is about someone who wants to jump right into a romantic encounter with their partner the moment they get home. Released in March 2024, it first gained attention in the country music scene back in February.
4. “Back in the Saddle”-Luke Combs
Luke Combs’ song “Back in the Saddle,” released in July, marked his return to music after a break of over a year. It essentially signals that he’s back to doing what he loves after some time away.
5. “Bar None”-Jordan Davis
One of my favorite songs from 2025 was “Bar None” by Jordan Davis. It’s a relatable song about a man trying to deal with heartbreak by going to a bar. I think Jordan Davis is a seriously talented country artist who doesn’t get enough recognition, and I always enjoy listening to this one – I immediately turn it up when it plays.
