There are certain TV friendships that leave you thinking, “Wow, I wish I had friends like them!” Today, I’d like to share some of my favorites that I believe you’ll appreciate just as much as I do.

I bet there have been times when you watched TV and found yourself longing for friendships like the ones portrayed. Well, here are some top-notch examples I think will resonate with you!

Or:

Remember those TV friendships that make you think, “I wish my friends were as awesome as these!” Today, let me share a few of my favorites that I’m confident will strike a chord with you.

Troy And Abed (Community)

Initially, Troy and Abed were the names that sprang to mind when I was brainstorming for this list. The camaraderie among the cast members of Community is truly exceptional, but none surpass Donald Glover and Danny Pudi in their portrayal of Troy and Abed, respectively. Frankly, I can’t imagine a more fitting pair for a friendship duo, especially with their peculiarities – I even own a mug that reads, “Troy and Abed in the mooorning!

Steve And Dustin (Stranger Things)

Among the friendships with notable age differences on this list, Steve and Dustin are an unmissable pair. From the moment we witnessed Steve’s “mom” phase (as internet memes describe) with the kids in Season 2, their bond has felt like something special. Across the four seasons, their friendship has evolved in unique ways that make it all the more endearing. Truly, I adore this dynamic duo.

Chandler And Joey (Friends)

Indeed, I must admit my deep affection for the entire cast of “Friends,” but focusing on Joey and Chandler, they truly embody the concept of “friends forever.” They’ve weathered countless trials together, and the episode where Chandler moves out is one that consistently tugs at my heartstrings. These two are a constant source of humor, always finding ways to amuse us.

Eleven And Max (Stranger Things)

In Season 3 of “Stranger Things”, it felt like a wound in our hearts was mended as we watched Eleven and Max bond. There’s something incredibly endearing about seeing two teenagers navigate life and forge friendship, free from romantic entanglements. I adore these characters deeply.

Ekko And Powder (Arcane)

Among the top series to stream on Netflix, “Arcane” certainly deserves its place, largely due to its intricate character relationships, one of which is between Ekko and Powder. Of course, it’s not Jinx we’re talking about here, but rather Powder before her ordeals – particularly in the alternate reality depicted in Season 2. Their bond was unique and I found myself yearning for more scenes showcasing their interaction.

Cristina And Meredith (Grey’s Anatomy)

As a movie enthusiast, I’d have to say that when it comes to unforgettable TV duos, Cristina and Meredith from “Grey’s Anatomy” certainly come to mind. These two were inseparable, standing side by side through the thickest of challenges and the most dramatic twists a medical drama could offer. They set the bar high for what a strong friendship on screen should look like.

Jackie And Donna (That ‘70s Show)

As a devoted viewer, what captivated me about Jackie and Donna was their initially contentious dynamic. They weren’t on friendly terms at first; in fact, they had a mutual dislike for one another. However, as the series unfolded, their relationship transformed into a profound friendship. I believe that this is a brilliant way to establish a friendship in a show – by witnessing each character’s less than favorable aspects but choosing to form a bond when they discover shared commonalities despite initial differences.

Ted And Coach Beard (Ted Lasso)

One standout friendship from the cast of “Ted Lasso” is the bond between Ted and Coach Beard. Initially, their relationship seems unlikely due to Beard’s peculiarities in numerous aspects. However, they share an unusual connection that transcends the ordinary, and this extraordinary friendship endures through various trials.

Jack And Liz (30 Rock)

In the cast of “30 Rock,” it’s undeniable that everyone is gifted, but what truly captivates us all is the friendship between Liz and Jack. This bond is special because they are incredibly straightforward with one another. They never hesitate to support each other in difficult times, and they aren’t shy about expressing their honest feelings. That’s the essence of a genuine friendship.

Jess And Cece (New Girl)

The list of times that the drama involving the boys Jess resides with has been absurd is seemingly endless. However, the most remarkable aspect is that Jess and Cece were consistently there for each other. Whether it was Cece navigating her issues with Schmidt, or Jess handling matters with Nick, or any other chaotic antics they encountered, it was always these two who stood by one another.

Veronica And Fiona (Shameless)

I unreservedly adore Veronica and Fiona, for they were the cherished companions who, alongside the Shameless cast, became an integral part of my college life by captivating me with their show. These two, however, transcended mere friendship; they were each other’s staunch defenders, unafraid to roll up their sleeves and fight for one another. In essence, their bond is something I hold dear.

Leslie And Ron (Parks And Recreation)

What makes Leslie and Ron stand out in the cast of Parks and Recreation is their unwavering support for each other. Unlike some office-themed shows where friendships might suddenly turn romantic, they have a unique bond that’s filled with laughter. Their partnership is something I find myself appreciating deeply.

Bellamy And Clarke (The 100)

Although I can’t help but feel disappointment that these two characters from The 100 weren’t paired up due to their incredible chemistry, there are still many aspects of Bellamy and Clarke that make them a captivating duo. They endured some of the toughest trials together, yet remained steadfast in supporting each other through it all. They allowed one another the freedom to make their own decisions, even when they disagreed, which only adds to their perfection.

Sam And Dean (Supernatural)

Is it considered cheating simply because they’re brothers? That’s a question I can’t definitively answer. To my perspective, the bond between Sam and Dean in the show Supernatural is among its most captivating aspects. It wouldn’t be nearly as compelling without Sam’s witty remarks, Dean’s biting sarcasm, or their seamless teamwork. In fact, it ran for an impressive fifteen seasons, which speaks volumes about the strength of their relationship. Of course, their friendship was extraordinary.

Jake And Finn (Adventure Time)

Absolutely, without a doubt, a resounding affirmation! The bond between Jake and Finn is extraordinary, filled with unique qualities. Their friendship stands the test of time, something that’s irreplaceable for me.

Aang And Sokka (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

In reference to the beloved animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, a friendship that stands out to me is the bond shared by Aang and Sokka. It’s not just their unwavering support for one another – Sokka standing by Aang in all situations, and Aang valuing his friends as he would family. However, what truly endears them to me is their shared foolishness – a term I use affectionately. They concoct the most preposterous schemes, which never fail to bring laughter each time I revisit these episodes.

Will And Carlton (The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air)

Although they were cousins, it wasn’t obligatory for them to be friends. Yet, the transformation of Will and Carlton’s friendship across the series ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ is something that continues to captivate me. A reluctant admiration grew between them, eventually leading to a deep bond, as they shared many experiences together.

Lily And Robin (How I Met Your Mother)

Many people find Lily and Robin from How I Met Your Mother appealing because they seem to mirror real-life friendships, particularly mine. Their camaraderie, shared laughter over jokes, mutual wine-drinking, and emotional support when ranting make them each other’s go-to person – a connection that we can appreciate in our own lives.

Ted And Rebecca (Ted Lasso)

Initially, Ted and Rebecca weren’t particularly close. However, their relationship evolved beautifully into a classic grumpy-sunshine dynamic. To put it simply, Ted was the “grump,” while Rebecca served as the sunshine. By the series finale, even Rebecca recognized Ted’s greatness, causing her to shed tears as he prepared to depart for America. This friendship truly stood out.

Jimmy And Gaby (Shrinking)

The compact TV show’s friendships stand out, but I must highlight the duo of Jimmy and Gaby. While they might have hinted at a potential romantic entanglement, their true charm lies in their humor. Their humorous exchanges often cause me to chuckle, and when I need a good laugh, I find myself revisiting these scenes.

Rachel, Phoebe And Monica (Friends)

It was challenging to choose a duo from among these three friends since they are all close companions who genuinely care for each other. Over the years, they’ve shown their unwavering support by putting themselves on the line for one another in various situations. These three friends have something truly unique and remarkable – an unbreakable bond that makes them stand out from others.

Jimmy And Paul (Shrinking)

Is Paul consistently stating that they aren’t friends? Indeed, but this doesn’t deter Jimmy in the least! Observing their dynamic during each new episode of Shrinking is my favorite part of the week, and I would enthusiastically watch a whole series centered around them. With Paul growing progressively grumpy as Jimmy persists with his antics, such a show sounds enticing.

Grace And Will (Will And Grace)

Absolutely, I couldn’t resist including them on the list. The main characters from the show “Will & Grace” have become such cultural icons that they returned in a revival as recently as 2017. Their friendship is laugh-out-loud funny, and they are consistently supportive of each other through thick and thin.

SpongeBob And Patrick (SpongeBob SquarePants)

As a die-hard fan, I’ve got to say that SpongeBob and Patrick just seem like a couple of friends who couldn’t figure out a lamppost if it was smack in front of them. Yet, there’s something about their bond that simply clicks, leaving me in stitches every time. I adore these two, even when they manage to land themselves in the funniest predicaments imaginable. Some of the most hilarious SpongeBob memes are all about their friendship!

Scott And Stiles (Teen Wolf)

During the time of the Teen Wolf craze, Scott and Stiles were omnipresent. To be honest, I searched on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, even Tumblr (you might recall it), and it was impossible to avoid their bond – not just their friendship but also the fans who were rooting for them as a couple.

Turk And J.D. (Scrubs)

If the definition of ‘bromance’ included an image, it would likely be Turk and J.D. These characters were consistently amusing and perfectly portrayed the dynamic of two friends who simply clicked and genuinely cared for each other. They were a significant reason why the show Scrubs was so popular.

Charles And Jake (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)

Among many friendships in the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” series, none grab my attention quite like the one between Charles and Jake. Frankly, their combined intelligence might not have been the highest, yet they consistently delivered their duties with a side of uproarious humor.

John And Sherlock (Sherlock)

Undeniably, I find it essential to pair these two extraordinary characters together. Indeed, Sherlock’s intellect and quirks have an uncanny knack for driving John to the brink of insanity – it’s as predictable as the sunrise. Yet, Sherlock’s devotion to protecting John and his loved ones is unwavering, even if he struggles to express himself emotionally. This profound friendship that transcends typical bounds is a testament to the kind of loyalty we all yearn for in our own lives.

Steve And Robin (Stranger Things)

Indeed, our fondness for Steve and Robin is undeniable. What makes them entertaining is the unexpected turn their friendship took in Season 3. While many anticipated they would become the next romantic couple, it was quite the opposite. Robin revealed her sexuality as a lesbian, which led to a beautiful platonic bond instead. To this day, they remain each other’s steadfast companions.

Lorelai And Rory (Gilmore Girls)

It’s quite evident, isn’t it, that despite being a mother and daughter, Lorelai and Rory share an incredibly close friendship, almost to the point where they are best friends. This is essentially the core theme of the show – a bond that many mothers and daughters would long for.

Eddie And Dustin (Stranger Things)

Eddie stood out as an exceptional character in “Stranger Things” Season 4, and a significant factor behind this was his unique bond with Dustin. Eddie managed to connect with Dustin in a way that differed from Steve’s relationship, a connection that will forever be etched in our memories.

Toph And Katara (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Toph and Katara share an exceptionally strong bond. Their abilities complement each other beautifully, yet they also push each other to grow, particularly during their early disagreements. However, this friendship would prove to endure throughout their lifetimes.

Oh dear, it seems I’ll need to watch these series once more to catch up with those characters again. Perhaps a marathon session is in order.
