3 things to watch while UFC is on hiatus
As a combat sports enthusiast with decades of experience under my belt, I must say this week is shaping up to be quite the thrilling spectacle for us fans! While the UFC might be taking a brief hiatus, there’s no shortage of exciting events to keep our adrenaline pumping.
This week, UFC enthusiasts can only look forward to episode three of Dana White’s Contender Series, airing on Tuesday, August 27. Following this event, the Octagon will be closed until Week 4. However, there are still exciting combat sports events to catch this week for fans who can’t wait.

On August 30th, ONE Championship will broadcast their ONE Friday Night Fights series live from Bangkok, Thailand. This event showcases matches in both Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Muay Thai, with free viewing for American audiences on YouTube. The main attraction of the Muay Thai fights is between Yodlekpet Or.Pitisak and K. Suanluangrotyok. In the MMA main event, Bolat Zamanbekov will face off against Valmir Galiev in a bantamweight matchup.
