3 matches for Oba Femi on the WWE main roster

As a long-time fan who has witnessed the rise and fall of many WWE superstars, I can confidently say that Oba Femi is destined for greatness. His recent loss to Tony D’Angelo at NXT Halloween Havoc may have left some questioning his future, but I firmly believe he’s about to make a splash on the main roster.

At WWE NXT’s Halloween Havoc, Tony D’Angelo overcame Obi Femi once more, ending the longest reign of the NXT North American Championship. Despite his best efforts, Obi Femi couldn’t reclaim the title, leaving fans wondering what lies ahead for “The Ruler.” Online chatter suggests that he might be transitioning to the main roster, a move many believe would swiftly garner attention from the company. Considering the offerings of both SmackDown and Monday Night Raw, here are three potential matches for Obi Femi on the main roster that could make a significant impact.

Damian Priest

There’s debate about whether WWE considers Damian Priest as a temporary title holder or someone capable of holding the belt repeatedly in the future. Time will tell, and significant conflicts are needed for clarity. Suppose Priest encounters Oba Femi in an upcoming fight, marking the beginning of a major feud for both parties. In this scenario, Priest is usually the larger man, but here he’d find himself in a challenging position. For Femi, it would be a baptism by fire, testing his mettle against one of the well-guarded superstars on the main roster.

GUNTHER

Essentially, the match between Oba Femi and Gunther is purely hypothetical, often referred to as a dream match. These two imposing figures going toe-to-toe in the ring would undoubtedly draw a crowd. However, it’s important to note that Femi may not be ready for such a high-profile encounter. Additionally, there’s no indication that Gunther would lose his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Femi. This is simply an exciting matchup, pairing one of the most intriguing figures in WWE NXT against the top performer on the Monday Night Raw roster, just for the sake of seeing how things unfold.

Giovanni Vinci

Giovanni Vinci is in a peculiar place on the WWE roster. The former Fabian Aichner hasn’t had the best booking since joining his Imperium brothers on the main roster. He was kicked out of the group, sent over to SmackDown where he sat off television for weeks, just to return to television and enter a comical losing streak gimmick. It’s almost like he has made someone in creative upset and is openly punished for it. If WWE wanted to get some additional mileage out of his place, booking him to start a winning streak, just to get overconfident and end up facing the debuting Oba Femi who would snap it would be a great way to bring Femi up to SmackDown.

Femi Oba possesses the ability to make a significant impact in WWE. Given the right storylines over time, he could emerge as one of the pivotal figures that fans eagerly anticipate and implore WWE to introduce earlier rather than later.
