As a die-hard Star Trek fan, I’m beyond excited for the upcoming third season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. With its release date set for 2025, this series holds a significant place in the Star Trek universe as it continues to draw in new fans while keeping the old ones engaged. The success of Strange New Worlds is crucial for the franchise’s growth and development.

Montgomery “Scotty” Scott was introduced anew to viewers towards the end of season two, leaving a significant mark on the fanbase. His role in season three remained a mystery until a sneak peek revealed that he was still part of the Enterprise crew.

3. A classic Star Trek character is returning to the series.

At the Star Trek panel in San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that a beloved character from the Original Series will make a comeback on screen. Dr. Roger Korby, who appeared in the episode “What Are Little Girls Made Of?” featuring the Original Series cast, is set to reappear in the prequel series. In this new version, Dr. Korby will be portrayed by Cillian O’Sullivan and his obsession with androids may not be a significant part of his character development. Let’s hope for a less fixated Korby.
