3 achievements to hit for WWE in 2025
As a lifelong WWE fan, I’ve seen my fair share of ups and downs over the years, but 2025 has been a year to remember! The company has really stepped up its game, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in the coming year.
First off, I think hosting a PLE in Mexico City would be an absolute home run. WWE has a rich history of international events, but Mexico City could take things to a whole new level. With stars like Rey Mysterio, Andrade, and Santos Escobar already on the roster, not to mention up-and-comers with Latino heritage like Damian Priest and Zelina Vega, it would be an opportunity to create a truly memorable event for a huge part of the WWE Universe.
Another thing I’d love to see is more focus on building out the women’s mid-card. The women’s division has so much potential, but in the past, it felt like there was a lack of space for them to shine. With new titles like the WWE Women’s United States Championship and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, I hope we see more opportunities for performers like Chelsea Green, Candice LeRae, and Michin to really showcase their skills.
Finally, I think it’s important for WWE to continue partnering with other wrestling companies. It was a pleasant surprise when they started working with TNA, and I hope they keep this trend going in the new year. Pro wrestling is better when we all work together, and it would be great to see more collaboration between promotions. Plus, it makes WWE look like a forward-thinking company that’s open to new ideas – which would definitely be enticing to free agents looking for their next deal!
And one final thought: I hope they bring back the “Kiss My Foot” gimmick. Seriously, who doesn’t love a good foot joke? Let’s make 2026 the year of the foot!
As WWE moves towards 2025, it carries an impressive wave of success. The year 2024 was a significant milestone, breaking new ground in numerous areas. In anticipation of the coming twelve months, here are three key objectives – both on-screen and off – that the promotion should aim to accomplish to maintain this momentum.
WWE is looking good heading into 2025 with a lot of success behind it from 2024. Here are three things they should try to achieve in the next year, both on TV and behind the scenes, to keep things going well.
Mexico City Event
2025 saw International PLEs (Pay-Per-View Events) as one of its biggest triumphs, with WWE choosing cities such as Berlin and London to host grand events, showcasing impressive lineups while earning substantial site fees for the company. Mexico City has emerged as a potential venue for an upcoming PLE, offering an exciting opportunity. WWE boasts numerous stars who could headline such an event, including Rey Mysterio, Dominick Mysterio, Andrade, and Santos Escobar. Additionally, talents with Latino heritage like Damian Priest and Zelina Vega could also be featured due to their connection to the culture. This event would provide a fantastic experience for a significant portion of the WWE fanbase.
Building the Women’s Mid-Card
A lot of people are keeping a close eye on how WWE handles the latest WWE Women’s United States Championship and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. On the main roster, the women’s division sometimes felt like it was stuck in one place because the performers either found themselves suddenly in title contention or were barely seen on TV. There wasn’t much room for them to showcase their individual talents. These titles represent a chance to bring more women into the spotlight, such as the current champion, Chelsea Green, Candice LeRae, Michin, and others. It’s time to give these talented women more screen time and this is the perfect opportunity to do so.
Continued Partnerships With Other Companies
In an unexpected move, WWE broke from its usual solitary stance in the wrestling world by teaming up with other wrestling organizations. Historically known for its isolationist approach, WWE has recently seen individuals from TNA appearing on NXT events weekly or its talents traveling to Japan for temporary stints or unique matches. This collaboration is beneficial for pro wrestling as a whole, and it remains to be seen if WWE will continue this collaborative trend in the coming year. This shift could prove advantageous because it portrays the company as receptive to fresh concepts, making it an attractive destination for free agents seeking their next opportunity.
