2XKO Season 1 release date
Season 1 of 2XKO launches on January 20th. Online play will be temporarily unavailable that day from 9 AM to 6 PM Pacific Time. If you’re already logged in before the maintenance, you can continue playing in offline mode.
2XKO Season 1 patch notes
The new 2XKO patch, version 1.1.1, is coming with improvements to Blitzcrank, Braum, Darius, Jinx, and Vi. Ahri, Ekko, Teemo, and Yasuo will be slightly weakened. Illaoi will also receive some balancing tweaks. This update for 2XKO Season 1 introduces Caitlyn as a playable champion, along with new Champion Recruitment events and various system improvements.
Caitlyn is now available in the game! You can get her right away by spending 1,000 KO Points, one Champion Token, or by completing the Ultra Battle Pass. You can also unlock her through the Champion Recruitment event. After three weeks, she’ll be available to purchase for 10,000 Credits.
The Season 1 update for 2XKO is expanding to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Players on these consoles will now earn trophies (PlayStation 5) and achievements (Xbox Series X|S). PlayStation Plus members will receive an exclusive chroma and avatar item, as well as some free Battle Pass level skips. These items will also be available for purchase with in-game Credits through the Collections tab.
2XKO patch notes 1.1.1
Riot Games has released the patch notes for 2XKO Season 1, detailing changes to various champions. You can find specific information about each champion by clicking on their name.
This update includes key changes to gameplay, making things fairer and easier to understand. We’ve tweaked how projectiles work to avoid situations where defenders can’t win, and to make impacts more obvious. We’re also adjusting movement – fast backward dashes will be slightly slower, but still cover roughly the same distance overall. Finally, all light attacks will now start up within seven frames, making them more responsive.
This update makes using Assists riskier and gives opponents more ways to react. Successfully blocking an Assist with Break will now put it on a two-second cooldown, preventing players from immediately using another one. However, players will still have a brief period to switch characters (Handshake Tag) while the Assist is active.
This update improves Juggernaut Fuse in a few ways. He’ll have more health overall, and a bigger maximum health boost. Players controlling Juggernaut will also build their Break meter faster when opponents don’t block. Lastly, the Eject ability will be more powerful.
This update fixes an issue where you couldn’t smoothly cancel out of a Level 1 Super and into a Level 3 Super. It also improves Training Mode by making the push block and bot actions more realistic for testing.
You can find the complete list of updates, including all the bug fixes, on the official Riot Games website.
