2XKO reveals Warwick in new cinematic ahead of early access

Warwick can be played in 2XKO starting Oct. 7.

Riot Games has announced Warwick as the next champion to receive a visual and gameplay overhaul, known as a 2XKO. They unveiled the updated champion with a new cinematic set to the song “Ties That Bind” performed by Courtney LaPlante of the band Spiritbox.

Warwick confirmed for 2XKO

The 2XKO cinematic opens with a fight between Ekko and Yasuo. Then, Ahri shows up and shares a past memory with Ekko. They team up to battle Yasuo, and the cinematic highlights how they seamlessly switch roles during the fight. Suddenly, Warwick joins the battle. The cinematic ends with Illaoi and Blitzcrank arriving, hinting at an upcoming conflict.

As of October 6th, 2XKO has a confirmed roster of 11 champions, including Warwick, Ekko, Ahri, Yasuo, Illaoi, Blitzcrank, Darius, Braum, Jinx, Vi, and Teemo.

Warwick enters the 2XKO early access

Players will be able to play as Warwick starting October 7th, as part of the game’s early access, the developers have announced.

The official 2XKO account on X announced the list of players who will get early access to the game. Early access begins at 8 a.m. Pacific Time on PC and doesn’t require any special codes.

Tom Cannon, the executive producer, says the 2XKO early access will feature a complete season’s worth of content and important features like Combo Trials, a Battle Pass, ranked matches, and adjustments to game balance. Plus, players will get to keep everything they earn during the early access period.
