Riot Games is boosting the 2XKO esports community by providing funding for 22 tournaments organized by players, and this support will continue through 2025. These competitions will take place across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with both online and live events planned. One notable tournament is scheduled to be held at DreamHack Atlanta in 2025.
As a long-time player in the FGC, I’ve always seen community organizers as the people who *really* make things happen. So, we want to help get the word out about all the awesome stuff they’re doing and make sure anyone who wants to compete knows about their events. It’s about shining a light on their hard work and connecting players with the action!

2XKO First Impact enters DreamHack Atlanta 2025
According to Riot Games, First Impact is a program designed to support and showcase community tournament organizers (TOs). They’re doing this by sponsoring 22 community-run events over the remainder of the year. The winning teams at each First Impact event will receive an additional $2,500 prize, on top of the existing prize pool. The first event will be held at Evo France, and further in-person tournaments are planned for New York and Puerto Rico, leading up to DreamHack Atlanta 2025 in Georgia. This initiative aims to bolster the grassroots competitive scene.
If you’re excited to compete in 2XKO at DreamHack Atlanta 2025, you can register through start.gg. The fighting game community (FGC) will also have the chance to battle it out in games like Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN 8, Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, and Mortal Kombat 1. And be sure to keep an eye out for the SNK World Championship (SWC 2025), too.
