The playtesting for Riot Games’ 2XKO Alpha Lab 2 begins in April! Here you can find the expected release date and time of the event. Plus, we’ve set up a real-time countdown to help you keep track.

2XKO Alpha Lab 2 release date

The 2XKO Alpha Lab playtest resumes on April 18, 2025 and continues until April 20, 2025. During this period, players will have three days to engage in combat using Riot’s fighting game. Furthermore, they will get a chance to familiarize themselves with the newest character, Jinx, who has just joined the Alpha Lab roster.

Be sure to look at your email approximately a week prior to the commencement of 2XKO Alpha Lab 2, as this is typically when Riot sends out the invites for the event.

Regarding the current playtest, it seems we’re dealing with a limited number of players compared to the previous one. A notable difference is that Alpha Lab 2 isn’t offering referral links for friends like the first playtest did.

Registering for the last Alpha Lab automatically enrolls you in Alpha Lab 2. Additionally, you have an opportunity to join the playtest by signing up through Riot’s official game webpage.

Make sure your device is compatible with the 2XKO Alpha Lab 2, as it supports both Windows PCs and PlayStation 5 systems.

According to Riot, first-time playtesters cannot choose the Xbox Series X|S for testing. However, if you previously tested the game on Xbox Series X|S during Alpha Lab 1 and receive an invitation for Alpha Lab 2, you can re-download the game from your console library.

2XKO Alpha Lab 2 regions

For this round, the playtest is limited to the U.S., Canada, and Brazil. Previously, it also covered the UK, France, Japan, and Mexico during the initial Alpha Lab playtest.
