2026’s WandaVision Sequel Finally Gets a Release Window (& Fans Won’t Be Happy)

Some Marvel fans might be disappointed to learn when the sequel to *WandaVision* is expected to arrive on Disney+. While 2025 was a huge year for Marvel releases, 2026 will have fewer movies and focus more on shows for Disney+. Given how much people still love *WandaVision*, it’s understandable that they’re eager for the next installment.

The upcoming series, *VisionQuest*, is currently expected to premiere on Disney+ in Fall 2026, according to a recent update on Disney’s official listings.

This is frustrating news for fans of the upcoming Disney+ show, which was intended to follow *WandaVision* and *Secret Invasion* as part of a three-show arc. While filming wrapped up in July 2025, and there was hope for a Summer 2026 release, it now appears the show still needs more than a year of post-production work before it’s ready.

Following *WandaVision* and *Agatha All Along*, Marvel Studios is continuing the story with *Vision Quest*. The Disney+ show, starring Paul Bettany, Ruaridh Mollica, James Spader, Henry Lewis, Emily Hampshire, and James D’Arcy, will explore Vision’s quest to reclaim who he is after regaining his memories. *Vision Quest* is currently slated to premiere on Disney+ in Fall 2026.

What To Expect in the MCU Before VisionQuest

Marvel Studios has only two major movie releases planned for 2026: *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* in July and *Avengers: Doomsday* in December. But, Disney+ will have several shows and movies available to watch before the expected release of *VisionQuest*.

Things get started in January with the release of *Wonder Man*, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Originally planned for late 2025, the show’s release has been moved to early 2026. Just a few weeks after that, in March, Marvel will debut the second season of *Daredevil: Born Again*, continuing the conflict between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk.

Fans can look forward to new seasons of two animated series in 2025: Season 2 of X-Men ‘97 and Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Additionally, a special presentation featuring Jon Bernthal as The Punisher is planned for 2026, though the exact release date hasn’t been announced.

I’m a little bummed that we *WandaVision* fans have to wait, but I’m really excited for *VisionQuest*! Everyone’s hoping it lives up to *WandaVision* and continues the awesome start the Multiverse Saga had.
