Batman: Mortal Kombat Star Hopes to Play DCU’s Nightwing or Red Hood

As a huge fan of the games, I’m really excited about the new Mortal Kombat movie! It’s called Mortal Kombat II and is hitting theaters on May 8, 2026, thanks to Warner Bros. Simon McQuoid, who directed the first film from 2021, is back at the helm. Best of all, Karl Urban is going to be playing Johnny Cage, which I think is perfect casting! I can’t wait to see how they bring the whole universe to life on the big screen.

‘Gremlins 3’ is real: Steven Spielberg, Chris Columbus reuniting for 2027 Mogwai movie

Warner Bros. Discovery announced Thursday that a third “Gremlins” movie is officially happening. It’s planned for release in theaters on November 19, 2027, before the holiday season. The new film will bring back Chris Columbus, who wrote the original “Gremlins,” and will be produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, the company behind the first two movies.

HBO Max Pivots to Longer Shows With Smaller Budgets Thanks to The Pitt

According to reports, HBO Max has ordered pilots for two new shows that could be released under a new production model. These include the police drama American Blue, led by former Supernatural showrunner Jeremy Carver, and the family drama How To Survive Without Me (currently a working title), created by Greg Berlanti, Bash Doran, and Robbie Rogers. Both projects are being produced by Warner Bros. Television, which has overall deals with both Carver and Berlanti Productions.
