Occasionally, creators have a predetermined number of seasons in mind for their work. Previously, with traditional network TV, there was limited room for shows on the airwaves. Therefore, if you were fortunate enough to get your show on the air, you’d likely keep it running until they physically escorted you out of the studio. However, with streaming platforms now available, creators have more opportunities to get their shows picked up. As a result, they might not feel as pressured to prolong an acclaimed series indefinitely like they once did. I deeply wish that Fleabag continued, but I understand why Phoebe Waller-Bridge opted to bring it to a close.
