Body horror is a popular sub-genre for horror movies and gets more acclaim as time goes on. The Substance regained the attention of body horror lovers and reminded me why I adore the genre. My fascination began in the 80s after watching movies like The Thing and Hellraiser.

2019 saw the airing of an episode titled “Ask Not” from Star Trek: Short Treks. This episode featured a young cadet named Thira Sidhu finding herself in a challenging predicament. She was assigned to watch over Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), who was allegedly involved in mutiny. With the Tholians attacking outside, they debated regulations while trying to assert their authority. However, it was later revealed that the entire scenario was simulated, meant to test Sidhu’s resilience. Following this simulation, Captain Pike promised her he would cross paths with her again, but since then, neither he nor she has appeared in the series.

Kraven the Hunter is currently tracking to make less than disgraced superhero movie

The movie featuring Kraven the Hunter, titled “Kraven the Hunter,” is set to premiere on December 13th. However, if you haven’t noticed its upcoming release, it’s understandable given that Sony hasn’t been actively promoting this film. Unfortunately, this lack of promotion could potentially lead to a situation where the movie underperforms at the box office as we approach the end of 2024.

A fresh installment of Star Trek is being developed, titled “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.” This upcoming series is set approximately 900 years after the storylines of The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Prodigy, Lower Decks, and Picard. Essentially a spin-off from Star Trek: Discovery, both shows will share the same timeframe in Star Trek’s expansive universe.

The time for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 premiere is drawing nearer, with a release date set for early 2025 on Paramount+. Given that each season consists of ten episodes, the gap between seasons can sometimes feel endless.
