Divisive House of the Dragon finale gets season-high ratings, if slightly below season 1

The final episode of the second season of House of the Dragon, titled “The Queen Who Ever Was,” aired last Sunday. I can’t deny that I was a bit disappointed by the finale, as it didn’t quite live up to the promising storyline the series had been developing and featured some unexpected character shifts. However, I hope the show continues to succeed, so I’m pleased to share that the episode drew in 8.9 million viewers in one night on both HBO and Max. As reported by Variety, this is a record for the season, an increase of 14% from the number of viewers who watched the season premiere.

The Orville star says production on season 4 will begin early 2025

“The Orville” is a heartfelt tribute in the spirit of “Star Trek.” It initially aired on Fox, with seasons premiering two years apart from each other. However, for its third season, titled “New Horizons,” it moved to Hulu. This season had a larger budget and took three years to produce, finally airing in 2022.

How being ‘Unstable’ on Netflix helped Aaron Branch find his footing in comedy

You might not know him by name, or at least by his real name, but Aaron Branch’s career in comedy has gotten a lot more stable lately. Thanks to his character “Malcolm” on the Netflix show “Unstable” starring Rob Lowe as eccentric biotech entrepreneur Ellis Dragon, Branch’s unique look and quirky, deadpan delivery beams into homes all over the country. On the show his role as Dragon’s assistant and best friend to Lowe’s co-star and real-life son John Owen Lowe (who plays Jackson Dragon) is a less funny version of a lot of real-life assistant gigs that helped him pay the bills. Now in its recently debuted second season, Branch says he’s in a spot in his career where his opportunities in Hollywood, both on screen and the comedy stage, have given him more drive to see where things can go pursuing his dream of being funny on stage and screen full time.

‘Anti-war wargame’ Chicago ’68 is an impeccably timed board game

Back in the sweltering summer of 2020, I found myself gazing out my window at a troubling sight – a row of officers marching towards protestors, individuals who lived in my very own neighborhood, rallying against the senseless death of George Floyd. Instantaneously, my mind was flooded with an indelible image that resonated strongly among Chicagoans – the demonstrations during the 1968 Democratic National Convention, where a line of powder-blue helmets faced off against a line of protestors, much like what I saw today.
