Award-winning Stranger Things play The First Shadow coming to the US in 2025

As a longtime fan of “Stranger Things,” I am beyond excited about the upcoming prequel series, “The First Shadow.” Given my love for the original show and its intricate plotlines, I have high expectations for this new addition to the franchise. The fact that it’s being developed by Matt and Ross Duffer, who have done an exceptional job with the storytelling in the first four seasons, along with Kate Trefry and Jack Thorne, makes me confident that this prequel will be just as captivating and engaging. I can hardly wait to see how they delve deeper into the mysteries of Hawkins and the Upside Down world, and I’m eagerly anticipating the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” while also looking forward to exploring the events that led up to it in “The First Shadow.”

“The Cage” director wanted an older, more timeworn version of the Enterprise

In 1966, when Star Trek: The Original Series aired its second pilot, both the sets and uniforms appeared fresh and new, giving the impression that it was an entirely new show. However, contrary to this appearance, Robert Butler, the director of the original pilot “The Cage,” had a distinct vision for Captain Kirk and his crew. According to Captains’ Logs—The Unauthorized Complete Trek Voyages by Edward Gross and Mark A. Altman, Butler shared insights about the ship and the series’ overall tone that differed from the eventual direction taken.

To speak or not to speak: Grogu’s first words shouldn’t be rushed

In a simplified manner: Grogu from Star Wars stands out as the most expressive character, thanks to the skillful puppeteers and directors who work on him and The Mandalorian. Although Season 3 hinted at Grogu’s initial words, it doesn’t necessarily mean he has to speak in the upcoming Mando movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu.

Why Like A Dragon: Yakuza may be another great video game TV adaptation

Following an impressive series of video game-to-TV transformations, such as HBO’s “The Last of Us” and Amazon’s “Fallout,” the expectation for Sega and Amazon’s upcoming show based on the Like A Dragon (formerly Yakuza) games is significant. The creators and cast of the October release, “Like A Dragon: Yakuza,” are confident they can meet this high standard, in part due to its roots in local culture and its universal theme of family ties that resonate globally.
