On Monday, a judge at the Supreme Court of New York declined requests from talent agency CAA, The Walt Disney Company, and Miramax to discard actress Julia Ormond’s lawsuit alleging sexual battery by Harvey Weinstein.

According to Variety’s latest report, the long-awaited Poltergeist TV series is said to be progressing in production. On August 19th, it was exclusively disclosed that Amazon MGM Studios has secured showrunners for the upcoming program – Kalinda Vazquez and Robbie Thompson. These two will not only oversee the project but also write and serve as executive producers. The series is being produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television.

Star Trek: Lower Decks, terminated by Paramount+, will conclude its five-season journey this year with its fifth and final season premiering on October 24, 2024. As the fall of 2024 approaches, Lower Decks will wrap up the series.
