The top 5 shows to stream this week (July 29-Aug. 2)

As a passionate binge-watcher with years of experience exploring the vast world of streaming services, I’m thrilled to share my excitement about this week’s lineup. Before delving into our top two recommendations, feast your eyes on the following list showcasing all five must-see shows. Most notably, many titles are gracing our screens at the beginning of the month!

The Acolyte: Mae, the girl no one wanted

In the aftermath of “The Acolyte” series ending, I find myself repeatedly reflecting on Mae Aniseya’s character, portrayed by Emily Berrington. Although she has committed numerous wrongs, I’m not attempting to halo her or label her as a saint. The intricate narrative of the show left quite an impression on me, and while audiences were enthralled by Osha and Qimir’s romance, Mae’s story resonated deeply with me. Despite her flaws, she has become a complex and compelling character in my mind.

House of the Dragon finally gives us a great episode full of dragons

Just like an avid HBO spectator, I can’t help but be thrilled by the presence of those magnificent dragons in “House of the Dragon” and “Game of Thrones”. I thoroughly enjoy dissecting the complex political scenarios, exploring themes of power and patriarchy, and examining class dynamics. Yet, what makes it even more exhilarating is witnessing how these elements intertwine with the awe-inspiring dragons. After all, “House of the Dragon” implies exactly that: dragons. And in this near-conclusion episode, the dragons are not just spectators but active participants in the unfolding events.

Killing of Karrion and WWE’s Four Ways to End Final Testament

Karrion Kross and Final Testament are currently facing tough times. Sadly, their performances aren’t drawing crowds or streams. Instead of pouring more resources into a struggling storyline, it might be wise to explore four alternative endings for Final Testament. These endings could potentially generate buzz around another act. However, this isn’t a definitive loss for everyone involved – there is still an opportunity to regain some momentum for a few members.
