The 2024 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) in the Esports World Cup (EWC) for PUBG MOBILE is commencing its Main Tournament this weekend. The competition lasts from July 26th to 28th. Among all teams, only one will emerge triumphant. They will be awarded the inaugural PMWC Champion title, trophy, and the largest portion of the $3,000,000 USD reward fund.

As a seasoned observer and avid follower of competitive events, I can’t help but be in awe of the intensity and determination displayed by the 16 teams in this Survival Stage competition. Having watched many similar tournaments unfold over the years, I can tell you that every team was giving it their all to secure a spot in the Main Tournament. The stakes were high, and with victory within reach, the pressure was palpable. Each team’s journey up until this point had been filled with hard work, dedication, and perseverance. And now, as we approach the final stages of this first-of-its-kind competition, I can only imagine the excitement and anticipation building amongst the players. The conclusion of this tournament promises to be an exhilarating spectacle, one that I’m eagerly looking forward to witnessing.

Group Stage and Survival Stage recaps

Last weekend at the intense group stage of the 2024 PMWC, where 24 teams competed, Yoodo Alliance surprised everyone with their impressive performance and secured the top spot, qualifying them for the following 2024 PMWC Main Tournament along with 11 other teams.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to see the last twelve teams advance to the Survival Stage. Joining them are four wildcard teams who triumphantly emerged from regional PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) tournaments. Together, they’ll battle it out for an opportunity to participate in the Main Tournament.

In the finale of the Survival Stage, IW NRX emerged as the clear frontrunner with a remarkable score of 122 points and two triumphs. DRX, Tong Jia Bao, and Twisted Minds Brazil put up strong performances and kept the competition intense.

On day one and day two of the competition, we were treated to more exhilarating moments. ZWOLF from IW NRX delivered an impressive performance with twelve eliminations, while OnlyS from TJB showcased remarkable skill in a 1v3 clutch situation on day two.

PMWC 2024 Main Tournament schedule and shows

From the 26th to the 28th of July, the Primary Competition is scheduled to occur, during which the 16 qualified squads will engage in combat over a period of three consecutive days. In this tournament, these teams will face off against one another in eighteen distinct matches. Points will be assigned based on match results and the total number of eliminations.
