2 great shows coming to Paramount+ (and Showtime) in December
As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of television, I am thrilled to share my thoughts on the upcoming offerings from Paramount Plus for December 2024. The diversity of genres and stories these two shows present is nothing short of remarkable.
2024’s grand finale countdown has begun! Let’s examine the lineup of shows debuting on Paramount Plus in December. To be honest, our selection is rather limited this month. We’re only going to talk about two shows, which come from very distinct parts of the genre world.
In one case, we find a tone that is cheerful, motivating, and enlightening, while in another, we embark on an initial chapter of a lengthy narrative spanning eight seasons that, although challenging, might be considered justified by some. Let’s get started!
as1one: The Israeli-Palestinian Pop Music Journey
Leading our list is the premiere on December 3rd of the docuseries titled “as1one: The Israeli-Palestinian Pop Music Adventure“. For those unaware, as1one represents the globe’s first combined Israeli and Palestinian pop band, featuring six talented individuals: Nadav Philips, Niv Lin, Aseel Farah, Ohad Attia, Sadik Dogosh, and Neta Rozenblat.
The documentary series will capture their strong friendship and mutual love for music, showcasing their journey towards stardom, along with the challenges they encounter because of the persistent conflict between Israel and Palestine. This inspiring and emotionally resonant series could offer a timely source of comfort to global audiences.
If you’re searching for an inspiring and upbeat program to enjoy during the holidays as we welcome the New Year, we strongly suggest checking out “as1one: The Israeli-Palestinian Pop Music Journey.
Dexter: Original Sin
20 years later, it’s still incredible that a show like Dexter, with Michael C. Hall as the protagonist, continues to captivate audiences. The unique twist was that Dexter wasn’t your typical villain – he hunted and killed murderers who slipped through the justice system’s grasp. In other words, he was a vigilante of sorts, but with a darker edge. You gotta admit, characters like him are some of the most intricate and layered figures in any piece of fiction I’ve come across.
It’s likely that Dexter’s role as a forensic technician with the Miami Metro Police Department played a significant part in the show’s success and long-lasting impact on popular media, spanning over 8 seasons and nearly 100 episodes of the series “Dexter”.
It appears that Dexter’s story has only just started in the prequel series spinoff titled “Dexter: Original Sin.” The show will premiere on December 13, with Hall serving as the narrator, and Patrick Gibson stepping into the role of Dexter. This is an ideal present for both dedicated “Dexter” fans and new viewers, especially since it’s set to air during the holiday season.
