2 Chainz x Lil Yachty Link Up on “Sista Wives”

Recently, I was thrilled to learn that in a significant Atlanta gathering, rap legends 2 Chainz and Lil Yachty reunited in the studio for the first time since their collaboration on “OOPS” from Lil Boat 2 back in 2018. Excitingly, this reunion led to the creation of a new single titled “Sista Wives,” which is the second official single off 2 Chainz’s Red Clay short film, following its first release.

In a vibrant two-and-a-half-minute performance titled “Sister Wives,” an impressive demonstration of the natural rapport between the two MCs unfolds.

The boat gets things moving with vigor, barking out “Even though your friends have tried it, don’t assume that you’re all sister wives (Indeed) / Alone, strolling through New York City armed with three concealed knives / In public, I seldom conceal myself, I simply understand my position / One bullet, sending him to a fantasy world, I feel like J. Cole (Wow).

2 Chainz smoothly takes over for the second verse, delivering a sharp succession of lyrics, kicking off with “I drive a foreign car, chatting with my watch like Michael Knight / My boxer shorts reek of Baccarat, I’m known to explode (Pop it) / All my cars are orange, you can’t fail to spot them in the parking lot” and things get even hotter from there.

Alongside its official music video, the track makes an appearance as well. This video offers a simplified yet impactful visual experience. In monochrome tones, it features the two rappers enjoying the rhythm of the song in a brightly lit room.
