1923’s Brandon Sklenar reveals which items he stole from set
1923 star Brandon Sklenar has revealed which items he stole from the show’s set.
In the spin-off series of Yellowstone, the actor takes on the role of Spencer Dutton, sharing screen time with acting legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
The show explores the backstory of John Dutton, a Yellowstone character, by delving into the lives of his forebears. These ancestors are depicted as struggling to maintain their property amidst the tumultuous times of Prohibition and the Great Depression in 1920s Montana.

After the finale of the show earlier this year, following its two-season run, Sklenar disclosed the items belonging to his character that he took from the set prior to filming ending.
In a recent chat with People, I proudly admitted to possessing both his unique hat and an extraordinary passport that truly takes me back to the 1920s. It’s not just a replica; it feels incredibly authentic, as if I’ve stepped right into a piece of history itself.
Additionally, I possess some old bullet casings dating back to World War I, as well as patches from a uniform, creating a small but significant Spencer Dutton memorabilia collection.
The actor mentioned that he’s still trying to fully absorb the fact that the series “1923” has concluded, having immersed himself in Spencer’s world for almost three years.
From the end of the first season to the start of the second one, there was a gap of two years. This meant a lot of rushing around, waiting, and speculating about when we would move forward, with the anticipation always lingering at the back of our minds,” he expressed.
That character has deeply resonated with me, and I expect that connection to last throughout my lifetime. I truly yearn to return to that universe because it’s an incredibly captivating setting, filled with intriguing themes. The opportunity to portray a cowboy, a World War I veteran, a hunter, a fighter, all while being driven by love for family and a devoted spouse, creates such an epic character. It’s truly remarkable.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that Sklenar has secured his next part in the upcoming western film titled “The Rescue“. Filming is set to start this summer under the direction of Potsy Ponciroli, who previously directed “Old Henry“.
The movie can be categorized as a contemporary take on a Western genre, where a skilled rodeo cowboy faces challenges beyond the confines of the arena. At this point, additional storyline specifics are kept confidential.
