18-Year-Old Son Gushes Over StepMom Kate in Heartwarming Mother’s Day Post

On Sunday, Lorenz Ferdinand expressed heartfelt admiration for his stepmother, Kate, by posting a touching Instagram message in honor of Mother’s Day.

18-year-old son of Rio Ferdinand and the late Rebecca Ellison, expressing great enthusiasm, praised the 33-year-old former TOWIE star who tied the knot with Rio in 2019.

Lorenz shared a charming black-and-white photo featuring them, as a way to mark the memorable occasion, on his social media platform.

Initially, he posted a touching photo of his mother Rebecca, who sadly lost her life to cancer in 2015, and added a red heart emoticon as the caption for Mother’s Day.

Afterward, there appeared a photo featuring the youthful goalkeeper and Kate. Accompanying this image was the same caption, expressing his heartfelt devotion towards Rio’s cherished spouse.

Kate and Rio Ferdinand are parents to children named Cree and Shae. Additionally, Kate serves as a stepmother to Lorenz, Tate (age 16), and Tia (age 13).

Earlier, the founder of Blended had shared insights into her bond with Rio’s adolescent children following the birth of their first child, Cree.

On Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, recorded in January, she candidly shared insights into her step-parenting experiences after the birth of her children.

In December 2020, Kate delivered her son named Cree, and last year, she had a second child, Shae, with her ex-footballer partner.

During a frank conversation on the podcast, Kate expressed that she often feels uncomprehended by her adolescent children following childbirth.

After her birth, she described her behavior as follows: ‘I was quite moody. I believe when you’re only with your spouse and you have young children, your husband understands the events surrounding childbirth and that you’ll experience intense emotions, so he should simply let me handle things.’

Young people today haven’t gone through those feelings yet, have they? At times, I felt as if nobody appreciated or valued me.

As I made my way down the stairs, it struck me as if I were reliving a moment. Everyone was seated on the couch. It felt like they were all there, and I found myself saying, “It seems like none of you care for me.

In a simpler manner, the conversation might go like this:

“They behaved as if they didn’t have a care in the world… Just typical teenagers, you know? And I found myself thinking, ‘You guys don’t seem to care about me. You don’t express your love for me. None of you even want to spend time with me upstairs.’

‘Initially, I was walking alone, and it seemed as if four individuals were giving me a questioning look, implying concern about my well-being, as if to say, “Is Kate alright?” It almost felt like being under the scrutiny of multiple eyes rather than one.’

I believe it might be overwhelming for them too, given the recent events such as Kate giving birth. To put it mildly, she seems quite preoccupied right now.

Last year, Kate revealed if she and husband Rio want to have more children.

The TV host conducted a question-and-answer session on Instagram, during which she fielded queries regarding potential expansion of their combined family.

When inquired about having more children, Kate responded, “We’ve found our limit; five is plenty for us.
