16 and Pregnant star Whitney Purvis is in mourning after her son Weston passed away at just 16.

Although no specific reason for his passing was disclosed, Weston, who was 33 years old, tragically lost his life as confirmed by his mother Purvis via a Facebook post on Monday.

She expressed that it’s incredibly challenging for her to put words together, as her cherished boy, Weston, has tragically left us at the tender age of 16. The world seems unjust and harsh to her, as she struggles to comprehend such an unfair reality.

Weston’s stepmother, Amy Gosa, likewise affirmed his demise on Facebook, mentioning that an autopsy would follow.

According to Gosa, we don’t have any information about what led to the incident, but they plan to perform an autopsy soon. This morning, around 7 am, we found him unresponsive and not breathing. We tried performing CPR on him and immediately called for an ambulance.

I’d like to share some additional details: The paramedics valiantly tried CPR on him and transported him to a hospital in Gordon County. Regrettably, they confirmed his passing there. He was battling multiple health problems, including diabetes.

In a follow-up post, Purvis expressed, ‘My little one is missing now, and I’m at a loss. He was absolutely flawless. This has become the very nightmare I feared.’

What is one way to continue living after the tragic loss of a child? It seems unreal and I wish it weren’t so. I yearn to grasp him once more, but words fall short in expressing the anguish that consumes me,” she lamented.

‘I adore you immensely, Weston Owen Gosa. Oh, how much I love you! You hold such a special place in my heart. I was incredibly proud of the person you were becoming. It’s unbearable to continue without you. May you rest in peace, my cherished angel. Your time with us was far too brief. April 2, 2009 – June 2, 2025.’

Gosa’s post added, ‘We are completely heartbroken and in shock. It was so unexpected.’  

She shared, “The pain of losing a child is unlike anything I’ve felt before, and I truly pray that such sorrow never crosses my path again.

She said, “He was an exceptional son I could ever wish for. He was witty, intelligent, humorous, and full of promise for his future. It seems unbelievable to me.

Gosa expressed his request for everyone to remember our family and Whitney in their thoughts and prayers, as we grieve over the loss of a truly exceptional and radiant life that was once our son. He appreciates your kindness.

In a subsequent message, Whitney expressed, “Goodbye, dear Weston, my baby. My love for you is eternal. I’ll never fathom the harshness of life. You’ll forever remain my baby.
