As a result, the pirates find themselves prey to these sea beasts, and instead of hunting for loot, the passengers are now engaged in a desperate battle for survival.

Despite not pushing boundaries or offering anything groundbreaking within its genre, “Deep Rising” is appreciated by monster movie enthusiasts.
