Almost three decades after “13 Going On 30” inspired many young millennials to dream of working at a magazine, the beloved romantic comedy is being remade.

Jennifer Garner, who played Jenna Rink in the original 2004 movie 13 Going on 30 alongside Mark Ruffalo, is helping to produce a new version. Emily Bader, known for People We Meet on Vacation, and Logan Lerman, from Oh, Hi! and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, will be the stars of the reboot.

Brett Haley, the director of the Netflix film “People We Meet on Vacation,” will work with Bader again on this new project.

In a statement to “Deadline,” Haley described “13 Going On 30” as a nearly flawless movie – both funny and heartwarming, with memorable performances by Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, and Judy Greer. As a longtime fan, she said she feels a lot of pressure and excitement about revisiting the story.
