1000lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton unrecognizable in full-body photo after losing 500 lbs and skin removal op
Wow, I can’t stop staring at Tammy Slaton’s incredible weight loss transformation! It’s left me speechless and in awe.
38-year-old actress from the TV show “1000-Lb. Sisters” shared updates on her weight loss journey with followers, posting a series of photos on TikTok earlier this week, after having bariatric surgery and skin removal procedures late in 2022.
Initially, the show presented intimate close-ups, later unveiling the substantial effect of Tammy’s 500-pound weight loss – a comprehensive view of her, elegantly dressed in a tight-fitting black bodysuit, highlighting her significantly reduced physique.
The post implied that Tammy was wholeheartedly accepting and executing her transformation, as suggested by the title, ‘I knew the assignment.’
With only a hint of her previous vitality, she stood there, her hands folded at the small of her back, flashing a soft grin. This pose left spectators speechless, marveling at her remarkable advancement.
One enthusiastic fan exclaimed, “I’m completely smitten with this phase of Tammy!” Another fan chimed in, “It moved me to tears. Your journey has genuinely been inspiring and remarkable to follow.

In a very open manner, Tammy has shared extensively about her personal experiences, many aspects of which have been chronicled on the show “1000-Lb. Sisters.” Notably, she publicly announced in April that she had shed an impressive 500 pounds.
She revealed on the TLC show that at my peak weight, I tipped the scales at over 700 pounds. Currently, I weigh 238 pounds.
Tammy also drew a comparison between her own advancement and her sister, 37-year-old Amy Slaton, who has shed an impressive 176 pounds.
In my perspective, I’ve been hearing comments about how I seem more petite compared to Amy, but it’s rather challenging for me to wrap my head around this observation. Frankly, I find it astounding to think that I could pull off whatever it is she does!
In June, Tammy shared that she had the long-awaited skin removal surgery earlier in the year, having reached a significant accomplishment.
‘I was just overwhelmed with excitement,’ she told People, recalling the moment she was approved.
After putting a great deal of effort into this, it’s finally come to fruition. You could tell from my expression that I was initially taken aback with surprise, followed swiftly by an overpowering feeling of joy.
For approximately fourteen months, Tammy underwent her recovery journey at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio. During this period, she shed over 400 pounds thanks to therapeutic care and bariatric surgery.

It was also where she met her late husband, Caleb Willingham.
Known as ‘Double K,’ Caleb was featured on the program, teaming up with Tammy to conquer their long-term weight issues.
They got married in a cozy, private event attended by approximately 30 people, with their home healthcare provider serving as the officiant.
Sadly, only a few months following their wedding, Caleb passed away at the age of 40. The specific reason for his demise remained undisclosed.
In simpler terms, Tammy shared the heart-wrenching instant when she learned some troubling news about Caleb’s friend. Initially, this friend sent her a message expressing concerns, followed quickly by the delivery of grim updates only 20 minutes later.
‘I was sitting in the fetal position,’ she recalled to People.
I received a text from his friend up high, saying, “Caleb isn’t well. They are attending to him now.” After twenty minutes, I got another message indicating that he had passed away.
Previously on 1000-Lb. Sisters, Tammy disclosed that the dynamic between them shifted significantly during her late partner’s final months, describing it as more akin to living as roommates rather than romantic partners, prior to his demise.
