Halloween Baking Championship season 10 (Food Network, Sept. 16)

Tonight, on September 16th at 9/8c, the tenth festive season of this popular Food Network show begins. In this year’s competition, ten bakers will be battling it out for the title. This season has a mad scientist theme, and in the premiere, the bakers are challenged to create broken glass desserts. Next week, they’ll be getting into the spooky spirit with a fun tie-in inspired by Beetlejuice.

The Substance (Theaters, Sept. 20)

Renowned director Coralie Fargeat (of the film “Revenge“) is back with her eagerly awaited body horror production, featuring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley in leading roles. In this story, Moore portrays a middle-aged aerobics instructor yearning to regain her youth following an unwelcome dismissal. Seeking solace in a mysterious concoction promised to transform her into a supercharged version of herself, she encounters horrifying consequences instead.

Never Let Go (Theaters, Sept. 20)

In this survival horror movie, director Alexandre Aja, known for “Crawl”, brings us a story featuring Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry. The plot unfolds in a world where an enigmatic evil has befallen the survivors. A determined single mother fights tirelessly to safeguard her family, employing unconventional methods such as tethers to keep them all securely bonded at home. However, when one of her children questions the existence of this “evil”, she’ll be pushed to confront challenges more terrifying than ever before.

Agatha All Along (Disney+, Sept. 18)

In the forthcoming Disney+ Marvel series, Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as the enigmatic witch, Agatha Harkness, offering a darker perspective. With its eerie undertones and magical elements, Agatha All Along appears to be an innovative, entertaining, and mature addition to the MCU. As a spin-off from WandaVision, this show finds Agatha in a powerless state following her confrontation with the Scarlet Witch. In her quest for regaining her powers, she intends to establish a new coven and embark on the Witches’ Path.

Monsters: The Erik and Lyle Menendez Story (Netflix, Sept. 19)

Fans of true crime should keep an eye out for the next installment in the Ryan Murphy series, titled “Monsters,” focusing on the Menendez brothers’ case – Erik and Lyle Menendez – who are infamous for allegedly murdering their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez.
