Since the plot revolves around an outlaw motorcycle club plunging into chaos and violence, most characters are portrayed as morally questionable or downright reprehensible. Characters like Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam), who initially strive for better choices, often succumb to violent paths.

Nevertheless, a select few characters surpass the usual wickedness and lawlessness associated with SAMCRO members and affiliates, often becoming objects of intense dislike among “Sons of Anarchy” fans due to their grating behaviors and traits. These characters are frequently despised for their annoying mannerisms, personalities, or actions that are uncalled-for and detestable.

His Age Earns Him Some Grace, but Not Enough

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but find Juice Ortiz, portrayed by Theo Rossi, both captivating and infuriating. His yearning to belong and his mental health battles resonate deeply with us viewers, stirring up feelings of empathy. Yet, it’s his relentless self-destructive tendencies that have consistently caused SAMCRO nothing but trouble.

In the TV series “Sons of Anarchy,” the character Juice tends to make a bad situation worse instead of trying to fix it when things go wrong. For instance, if he had simply revealed his heritage to SAMCRO, a secret that triggered a series of unfortunate and lethal events, perhaps this chain reaction could have been avoided. His self-destructive behavior is immensely frustrating to watch.

Fans either Love or Hate Her

Jax’s former high school sweetheart, Maggie Siff’s character in “Sons of Anarchy,” is highly contentious among viewers. Some adore her, while others can’t help but dislike her. On one side, it’s understandable to feel sympathy for her as a mother trying to extract her children from a harmful environment. Yet, numerous fans argue that she’s not entirely innocent.

Some spectators argue that Tara was well aware of the potential consequences when she rekindled her relationship with Jax, which makes it challenging for others to feel compassion when she subsequently changed her mind. Moreover, she often appeared arrogant, given her history of murder, deceit, and threats. Her indecisiveness regarding loyalty further fueled viewers’ irritation towards her.

Even His Face Annoys Fans

Galen O’Shay (Timothy Murphy), without a doubt, was a character who didn’t shy away from being ruthless. Despite his malevolent and cunning nature, his reasons behind such actions were underwhelming. His belief was that he would ruthlessly eliminate anyone for the sake of business with no hesitation.

Fans of “Sons of Anarchy” often found Galen’s aggressive, unnecessary actions unsettling, to the point where they almost wished for his downfall (though this isn’t meant as a criticism of the actor). Some viewers even found Galen’s very presence infuriating and exasperating. Although it’s reasonable that his advanced age has restricted his involvement, he rarely contributes more than smoking, drinking, and grumbling. His occasional acts of courage and apathy are mostly self-focused, which makes him a frustrating character whose presence leaves viewers wondering if he truly belongs.

Unnecessarily Dramatic and Intense

In the series “Sons of Anarchy,” character Hector Salazar (played by Jose Pablo Cantillo) is often the instigator of unwarranted conflicts and turmoil for most people. As the former president of Calaveras MC, he spends his time attempting to ignite a conflict between various parties.

It’s evident that his strategies are poorly carried out, often involving acts of violence like kidnapping and murder to pressure SAMCRO members into submission. To put it simply, he’s impulsive, hot-tempered, and utterly inept, ruining every plan he sets forth. Following his assault on Lumpy (Michael Fairman), viewers found him difficult to stomach.

Brilliantly Annoying in Both Personality and Mannerisms

In the TV series “Sons of Anarchy,” Ally Walker portrays June Stahl, a character who is both manipulative and irritating. It seems her goal was to make viewers dislike her on-screen persona, and while she may have been successful, she might have overstepped the mark slightly. June is characterized by her arrogance, an unquenchable thirst for glory, and a knack for creating discord by attempting to set SAMCRO members against one another.

Her actions led to a kidnapping of an infant, driven by her desire to prove herself. Additionally, Walker infused the character with peculiar idiosyncrasies that grated on viewers, including her tendency to inhale deeply before speaking, sparking numerous frustrated discussions on Reddit.

The Raging Narcissist Who Messes Everything Up

Many viewers have nicknamed Gemma Morrow (Katey Sagal) the hidden antagonist of Sons of Anarchy, and she’s a character that some fans love to dislike deeply. While certain fans appreciate her tough exterior and feel compassion for her sorrowful history, others view her as a bothersome egoist who consistently creates chaos.

She exhibited harsh, domineering behavior and played a significant role in her son’s downfall. He’s irritating right from the beginning because he’s a former U.S. Marshal who leverages his past position to get whatever he desires. Interestingly, being accustomed to getting what he wants, he throws tantrums whenever things don’t go according to his plans.

Furthermore, some viewers found it frustrating that his character, despite being a civilian now, still seemed to hold considerable influence over law enforcement and the penal system, as if he were still a US Marshall. This portrayal of a spoiled and unrealistic former US Marshall often proved quite exasperating in the series.

Evil, Greedy, and Worthy of Hate

Similar to Gemma, Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) is a character who, due to his unrelenting wickedness, becomes irritatingly odious. Driven solely by greed and ambition, he exhibits abusive, poisonous behavior and is downright malevolent, with few, if any, commendable traits. Unlike other characters, he lacks the tragic complexity that often makes us sympathize; instead, he stands out as one of the most detestable.

What makes this character so endlessly aggravating is the prolonged duration of his storyline, which lacks remorse, redemption, and meaningful development. By Season 6, viewers are drained from their disdain for him. Perlman cleverly crafts this loathsome quality, which accounts for the fascination and tension that arises from hating him. Nevertheless, he remains a highly irritating, self-centered, and arrogant individual who has overstayed his welcome in the series.
